Overview

Twin Robots is a 2.5D platformer (the graphics are 3D but the gameplay is 2D) for 1 or 2 players. In this unique game you have to escape - on your own or together with a friend - from a dangerous factory. Switch between two cute little robots and help out each other to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles, or play with a friend in the splitscreen co-op mode. The factory is filled with traps that were only created to stop malfunctioning robots from their escape. It's not a complete robot nightmare though; if you explore a bit you may also find super-batteries that recharge your battery life. Rescue your friend and find the exit in 28 dark and dangerous stages!

Twin Robots is a very fun game that I had an absolute blast play. While it is a short release, every minute is very entertaining. Playing the game for my Twin Robots review allowed me to have a lot of fun for a few hours, so I can definitely recommend that you buy it on Wii U today!

Twin Robots provides an enjoyable experience primarily because of responsive controls and precise character movement. Despite the steady increase in difficulty and cruel design of certain levels, it's still a fun challenge. Battery management of each robot adds to this and in many ways elevates it above the average platform game, providing an extra layer of complexity.

Twin Robots takes a fairly unique idea, some rather bland window trimming, and then pelts the player with a lot of bad decisions. This is the videogame equivalent of "Why are you punching yourself?" Worse yet, it feels unpolished, with its poor ledge collision and the robots' ability to fling boxes, and each other, just by running into them. In an already crowded sub-genre of an already crowded main genre, Twin Robots is just too short on its execution to be memorable for very long at all.
