LEGO Bricktales is suitable for all ages to play; children and adults alike will love being able to play with LEGO bricks in the game. The story is charming; I really enjoyed it. In addition, each diorama is unique; brightly coloured and full of LEGO bricks. The puzzles are very enjoyable and challenging. The game encourages you to be creative, especially in the sandbox mode. I like the freedom the game offers in the puzzles, as there isn’t just one way to solve a puzzle. It’s great fun thinking outside the box and finding your own solution to the puzzles.

LEGO Bricktales, like the design idea that inspires it, is in a league of its own. It’s a game to be savoured,

Finally, a LEGO game that truly captures the essence of both its creative and functional play in digital form While I’m a life-long LEGO fan who has spent far too many hours playing with a variety of sets as a kid and enjoying their many digital iterations over time either solo or with family and friends as an adult, it has always been a disappointment that the games inspired by the bricks have never done a great job of capturing the essence of building with them.

Since solving Lego-based puzzles is at the forefront, Bricktales doesn’t feel like it’s aimed directly at the younger crowd; the sometimes difficult-to-solve conundrums might turn kids off. There is plenty for them to get into, like collecting in-game items or the Lego player customization. The physics-based puzzles to solve were excellent; some were easy, and others were a challenge, but all were rewarding. Even with the challenge, Lego Bricktales is the closest I’ve come to feeling like I was playing with physical Lego bricks. Playing Lego Bricktales is not the same as sitting on your bedroom floor and letting your imagination run wild, but it’s close. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. I'm pulled towards anything that isn't driving or sports related; having said that, I love a good kart racer.

LEGO Bricktales is the epitome of children’s play. You feel like you are a child again, inventing a world with your small LEGO pieces. You build bridges, staircases, and statues, and you get to see all of them in action. Like every other LEGO game, LEGO Bricktales is also fun and silly. The game does not take itself seriously, and that is what we love about it.

LEGO Bricktales not only clearly shows that the LEGO property is more than capable of standing up on its own two block-feet without the aid of a fancy licence, but it also more importantly reminds us why LEGO is loved the world over in the first place. LEGO Bricktales is all about firing up the imagination to construct LEGO to solve challenges as you subconsciously grin with the sort of wide-eyed wonder that LEGO has always prided itself on inciting in builders both young and old. Quite simply, LEGO Bricktales is brain-teasing, warmly charming and purely distilled joy that everybody should play.

For a studio that hasn’t previously made any Lego titles, I feel they checked pretty much every box on what makes a Lego game a Lego game. This isn’t for everyone but isn’t made to be for everyone. If you are someone who seeks building in a game, I highly recommend Lego Bricktales. People often say that they don’t enjoy Minecraft because there aren’t guidelines or a direction to the building. I believe Lego Bricktales is the perfect solution and encourage people to give it a shot.
