Even if you don’t have a fondness for Amiga like I do, it is a wonderful contemporary take on a classic puzzle platformer with a visual flair, well-thought-out puzzles, and a cheeky personality. Attention to detail was paid in making Road to Ballhalla, and elevates it from good to great.

Road To Ballhalla is a delight. It rises above its inspirations to bring a new musical sensibility to the action puzzle genre. While some levels can be frustrating or even punishing, it never feels unfair — clearly a huge amount of thought has gone into balancing the difficulty, and anyone who brings a steady hand and a good amount of patience will find one of the most wonderfully kinetic puzzlers around. Road to Ballhalla is a surprisingly great puzzle game. At first glance, it may not seem like much, but the game is hilariously narrated and the levels get more and more challenging the further you get. Maybe not one for those who get frustrated easily, but for the rest of us, this brilliant little ball-based rhythmic puzzle game is very enjoyable and bound to keep you entertained for hours upon hours. Can you cautiously work your way through all of the obstacles blocking you from getting to your final resting place?

If you can take the difficulty on the chin, you'll experience a broad range of top-notch puzzles, that are well-executed and overlaid with a cheeky, playful tone. Rolling a ball around around a level shouldn't be this much fun.

This inventive ball-rolling adventure is full of flair with crisp and clean visuals that is then accentuated by a punchy soundtrack. Road to Ballhalla is familiar by looks, but is anything what you expect when you actually start playing. Road to Ballhalla is a surprise in all the best ways. The Road to Ballhalla (like Valhalla, get it?) is simple in concept, with only directions and boost being the controls.
