Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is about as much of a continuation as one should expect from an arena fighter sequel. You’re here for the spectacle, for Demon Slayer, and a game you can pull out to play with friends on a whim and not much more. The fights are extravagant as they are beautiful and for me, that’s more than enough. And I’m sure anyone eyeing this game feels the exact same way. ∎ Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Played on Xbox Series X PROS - Stunning battle visuals and great fights. - Fun combat system that can be picked up and played by anyone. - Decent selection of playable characters and arenas.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a better sequel in just about every way. While the actual fighting mechanics remain unchanged due to the absence of new additions, more characters from the start and expansions to a few modes give the game some real legs, whether you're playing solo or with friends and rivals. While this still doesn't reach the heights of the developer's previous Naruto titles, this is easily the best of the Demon Slayer titles so far, and it's an easy purchase for fans of the series and anime fighting games in general.

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a thrilling, adrenaline-inducing fighter with lots of modes, options and depth, with plenty to unlock and a whole plethora of fan service. Equally, it’s a fantastic jumping on point for series’ newcomers with the Path of the Demon Slayer Mode as well as the Memory Fragments in story illustrating many of the key points. The free-roaming battles are a welcome change from what we’re used to in the genre and the stylish art is just mesmerising to watch in action. Slight limitations with story and some frustration with tutorialisation aside, this is a fantastic fighter you shouldn’t overlook.
