Jump back in time and free your inner caveman. Smash heads in Caveman Warriors, a local cooperative 2D platformer game. Play solo, with one, two or three friends. Work together to become unstoppable! Choose one of the playable characters, but don’t worry! You can change your character at anytime in the game and play with them all! Each level has different enemies, watch out as they can catch you unguarded.

Caveman Warriors feels like a polished, retro arcade platformer. I like the way it looks and how simple the controls are. The gameplay can be a bit frustrating at times but being able to play with other people makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.

Caveman Warriors is fun game to play in couch co-op, but I wish the controls get fixed since they do need to be better. I had fun in the beginning, playing with my daughter, but she eventually thought the game was too hard for her, so keep that in mind if you have kids! The visuals are really good, and the soundtrack reminded me of the one for Deathspank, which is definitely a pro for this one.

It's a short game, but Caveman Warriors still entertains as you work through the levels figuring out how best to deal with the threats encountered and then how to defeat the bosses. There's some good character designs in the game and fun moments - like the way scared foes flee in panic only to knock themselves out by running into a wall. It's not without fault however, with the over-the-top knock-backs from hits being the biggest irritant. There's some replayability in trying to track down all the fuses and then tackle the harder versions of the levels and the co-op play works well. If you've got some friends around and are looking to pass the time with some platforming action, then Caveman Warriors is a good pick.

In almost an episode gone wrong of the Flintstones and the Jetsons, Caveman Warriors brings that awesome couch coop experience once again to the living room. With children of their tribe taken, four interesting cavemen/women take up their arms, snakes, monkeys and wolf as a hat in order to hunt down the aliens that just abducted those under their charge. The premise is weird but it works and gives a good reason behind this tribe's adventure as they basically plow through anyone and anything that gets between them and saving those that were taken.
