Lunch a Palooza can be a fun food fighting brawler game, at the same time it’s very limited in terms of scope and locks content that should be present behind progression walls which makes no sense for a local party game. It’s really bizarre that they would hide content like that, and while it may not seem like a big deal it’s a weird move if you want people to be engaged with the game off the bat. It’s not necessarily the greatest experience but it did provide some fun and the inclusion of bots was most certainly appreciated.

Lunch A Palooza had potential but overall, I felt like it came out a bit undercooked. There isn’t a lot of content here for a $20 game and with no online functionality it will only be for those who have local players. The poor physics and hit detection also make the gameplay hard to enjoy despite the charming visuals and soundtrack. With a bit more time this could’ve been an appetizing meal but as it stands this is one option on the menu you should skip. *Lunch A Palooza is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

It’s honestly hard to recommend this title outside potentially as an option to keep the kids busy due to the 4 player local multiplayer. As I said earlier, the potential for something genuinely good is buried there somewhere, but there’s just too much lacking in just about every area to recommend forking over $30 to play this.

This is a game that I would only recommend for very young children that cannot grasp the concept of gameplay.
