MONSTER
The game targets to be one of the best hardcore platformers ever. If you are worried that a good hardcore game will take you too long to finish, you can try the "casual" mode in Little Triangle where you have some additional lives. With the same level design as the hardcore mode, you will still find the fun in the challenges with much less pressure. If you only love highly challenging hardcore platformers but cannot find new ones, please check the "hardcore" mode of Little Triangle and the difficult level is just right for you.

Little Triangle is a great game. It brings forward unique characters and interesting level design and finishes it off with genuine difficulty that starts out smooth but will ultimately quit holding your hand by the second world. Granted, while there are a few issues with the performance stutters and double jump mechanic, it’s something simple that a patch could fix. These problems, however, are minute when compared to all the great aspects the game presents itself with. Even if you aren’t in it for the long haul, the levels alone are something that may have you playing the game over again.

Overcoming a few minor issues in presentation, the end result is an excellent game that is worth a serious look for anyone who enjoys ballistic local multiplayer or intense precision platforming.

Little Triangle certainly delivers a challenging and endearing platformer, but small flaws pull the game just shy of greatness. The gameplay structure and visual presentation is top notch, however, the occasional framerate drops and the somewhat imprecise controls, slightly hinder the overall experience. With that to the side, there’s still no denying that Little Triangle is an adventure that’s worth your time and attention. This game was tested and reviewed on Xbox One.

I enjoyed my time playing through Little Triangle, but I wasn’t blown away by it. It’s definitely a solid platformer with a little humor here and there, but that’s about it. What it does have is well implemented though, and the options to play with a friend combined with the natural ease of using Joy-Con make it a great pick-up-and-play game for any occasion. Although there is no unique hook or ground-breaking ideas, Little Triangle is a good title to scratch that platforming itch.

Little Triangle is a simple, yet gruelling, 2D platformer but the loose controls of the Joy-Con means that playing in handheld mode is probably not recommended. The cartoon art-style is beautifully represented and the soundtrack is catchy, however, Little Triangle’s adventure is over far too quickly and with relatively little to come back to.
