Build your base by day. Defend it by night. Stay alive as long as you can. Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is an unusual mix of dual-stick zombie shooter and tower defense genres. The player is free to choose from nine unique weapons and mount them onto auto turrets or set up defensive barricades to stay alive as long as he can. There are also power-ups to collect, different zombie types to shoot at and cooperative mode.

Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is a great addition to the Switch and for people who are looking for a break from their xth rounds of Mario Kart or Smash Brothers. With several game modes and study controls, there’s enough going on with the ever increasing difficulty to keep you and your team going for a while!

I’d give this the thumbs up. It is not expensive and is guaranteed to be a fun get in get out game. If you do want next gen graphics etc, this may not be the title for you, but from a strategy perspective it offers a fun challenge that gets you thinking.

There isn’t much that Yet Another Zombie Defense HD does wrong, but there is a fair amount that feels left out. That being said, the amount of content and engaging gameplay you get for the small price tag makes this barebones experience worth a play. If you’re dying to get your hands on a solid zombie defence game on your Switch, this one won’t hurt your wallet or your eyes.
