Kine is a wonderful puzzle game that will exercise your spacial awareness and charm you with its story. The characters are relatable and surprisingly nuanced, and the visuals are appealing. The music is excellent and integrated into the gameplay in inviting ways. While the game gets incredibly difficult, serious puzzle players are sure to enjoy the challenge. It helped that Roo, Quat, and Euler reminded me of so many old friends, and I found myself wanting the best for the funky boxes as they strived to make their way in the big city. Maybe you will too.

An amazing experience from beginning to end, though there isn’t enough content to justify the $19.99 launch price. Wait for a sale, then definitely pick it up, and you won’t be sorry.

Indie puzzle games don't get much more challenging and charming as Kine so if you're a genre fan then you need to give it a try.Kine gameplay video → Anthill Review Switch ★★★☆☆ Controlling an army of ants in order to battle and eat other bugs sounds like a weird game yet Anthill is a pretty fun indie. Image & Form may be best known for their SteamWorld series but they also created a few mobile titles; one of which is Anthill.

Kine isn’t original, and it’s got some pretty obvious gameplay flaws. But when a game is as charmingly put-together as this one, you won’t have much difficulty ignoring all that and focusing on the positives.

Overall, this is an intelligent, neatly packaged puzzler worth checking out.

Adding insult to injury is the somewhat uncooperative camera and the din of discordant sound effects every time you try to make an illegal move (hint: frequently). While those with a penchant for the punishing should check out Kine, less adept puzzlers may wish to stay away. [Reviewed on Switch] 6/10 Yuri Dreams are weird, eh? You’ve no doubt gone on some wacky adventures in your dreams over the years, and Yuri is testament to that.

It never feels good to solve a puzzle through sheer trial and error, and while every puzzle game has one or two duds there are just too many in Kine to allow for the good puzzles to feel worth it. It’s a shame that such a beautiful aesthetic was wasted on this, because the game is not nearly as exciting as the jazz riffs that accompanies it.
