The campaign alone is worth playing, but Hardcore Mecha's extras give the package a real boost. Once you're done with the main missions (which can be replayed at any time), you unlock Simulation Mode, which pits you against a never-ending horde of enemies. Shooting them down nets you currency that you can then use to buy upgrades and new mechs for the simulation, resulting in a fiendishly addictive grind. On top of that, there are local and online multiplayer modes. The former can be quite good fun with the right opponent, but we struggled to find other players in the latter.

Despite the occasional frame rate issues, Hardcore Mecha is a joy to play. Shooting and flying around the different levels feels incredibly smooth and responsive. Every enemy in the game presents its own individual threat, so players will need to be smart and responsive if they want to survive. Hardcore Mecha is an excellent option for any gamer who wants a challenging but rewarding experience. If you enjoy 2D action games then you owe it to yourself to try out Hardcore Mecha with its varied and supremely fun gameplay.Hardcore Mecha gameplay video → Super Crush KO Review Switch ★★★★☆ 2D action games come in many varieties and Super Crush KO implements beat 'em up elements so let's punch and kick our way to it! Believe it or not, Super Crush KO plays a lot like Hardcore Mecha as you control a fighter who unleashes ranged and melee attacks while dodging incoming enemies.

Beautiful artwork, a rich variety of missions, and lots of fun in single-player or with friends – Hardcore Mecha is a package well worth strapping into. There are some technical hitches, but these are heavyweight goods. Get stomping!
