Transpose is one of most unique puzzle games that has crossed my path, and I’d definitely recommend it if you own one of the major VR systems. It’s an experience that looks to show people that can do what seems impossible, and holds a message of positivity at its core. Transpose is a puzzle game that deserves the attention.

Transpose is by no means perfect, but it’s unique take on physics puzzles is compelling, not to mention a great fit for the VR platform. Manipulating time and gravity never loses its charm, and the reward of watching all your past echoes work together in the end is equal parts bizarre and incredibly satisfying. Puzzle fans should find plenty to love here though unless you have the IQ of a genius you will likely get stuck on a puzzle sooner or later and find yourself shouting profanities into the void.

Overall, Transpose is a pleasant, complicated surprise puzzle VR game that will put your patience to the test, as well as your cognitive skills. If you enjoy puzzle games, such as The Witness, then this one will probably be up your alley.

Gamers who enjoy complex puzzles that take a while to gradually unravel will absolutely love their time with Transpose. Even during the game’s most frustrating and devious puzzles, I really enjoyed my time with Transpose. It looks great, with its dream-like atmosphere and abstract art skyboxes. And for as potentially confusing as the gameplay can sound like on paper, it’s easy to settle into a rhythm and really get into creating multiple copies of yourself running through different routines and movement patterns. Transpose is an attractive and creative PSVR puzzler that’s easily recommended.

Transpose treads new ground in the world of VR puzzlers, breaking away from the tried and true room escape types of puzzles that are such an obvious fit for VR. The solutions to the puzzles are dependent on the player performing and recording actions to create "echoes," then combining those echoes into a full solution. It makes good use of VR, although there are aspects of it that can cause problems for people that suffer motion sickness when playing in VR. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. Transpose is an innovative take on the puzzle game. The fact that it is in VR only enhances the innovation. Puzzle games always come with varying degrees of difficulty but having to work with multiple versions of yourself to complete a puzzle just takes it to the next level.
