MONSTER
The Pedestrian is a 2.5D puzzle platformer that takes "puzzle platforming" literally. You play as The Pedestrian (aka the male bathroom symbol) who works in a restroom sign standing beside his Beloved (the female symbol). When she disappears, you must escape your day job and embark on a perilous journey where you progress by piecing the "sign world" back together in search of the one you love.

I don’t think it should be longer than it should be as well as I feel like more would just probably make you want to stop playing it. The amount of puzzles is just enough to make you feel you have accomplished an impossible task. I’m sure some will argue the puzzles are easy but I daresay otherwise. The level of complexity and thought that they’ve put into each puzzle is something to be amazed at.

Taking a more relaxing approach to the classic puzzle platformer genre leads The Pedestrian to a big win here. This is especially true in today’s market where developers seem pressured to make everything akin to Dark Souls in difficultly.

The Pedestrian is a unique and creatively designed puzzle game that shouldn’t be missed. Even if the journey is short, travelling by signage while listening to a relaxing soundtrack is the one of the most fun ways of getting around a city (outside of pedal pubs). Sign up for this trip, puzzle fans.

As with most of the best puzzle games out there, The Pedestrian isn’t going to eat up a huge chunk of your time. That said, every minute spent playing it will give your brain a solid workout. My first session saw me burn through the first half of the game in an afternoon before my noggin needed some downtime. As the puzzles ramped up in difficulty, it slowed me down a touch but only because I was being much more deliberate and triple checking everything. Putting this one up there as one of the best puzzlers available for PlayStation gamers, right below A Fold Apart. The Pedestrian review code provided by publisher.
