Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6 is the ninth video game installment in the Resident Evil series. It continues the struggle against zombies infected by the new highly virulent C-virus. The game uses the same over-the-shoulder view as Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, however with a new gameplay mechanic that allows players to slowly move while shoot. Players can select between three scenarios featuring multiple characters and intertwined storylines, and within these scenarios both stories and action cross paths. At key moments during the game, up to four players can join together online to tackle a specific situation, with some stages seeing the usual partnerships swapped to further increase the depth of gameplay.

As it stands, these are both really solid ports of some pretty fun video games from the last generation brought to portable life on the Switch. If you’re in the market for more Resident Evil on the go, then you’ll likely want to pick both up when you have a chance.

Fans looking to scratch the survival horror itch will likely still not come away impressed by the direction the series has taken. Resident Evil has become more of an action-horror game; a change I have welcomed with open arms.

Resident Evil 6 returns to the new generation of consoles with a small range of improvements. It runs much smoother, it has had a large majority of its design issues patched out (although these are also available in previous versions) and it has every piece of downloadable content, adjustment and mode that was added to it following release.

Perhaps it's still too experimental and difficult than the sixth entry in a series ought to be, but despite everything, RE6 offers top-tier cinematic action and series-high storytelling. For fans who've yet to try it, the PC version is the right choice. Disclosures: This game was obtained via publisher and reviewed on the PC.
