MUSYNX is a must buy game for all the music rhythm fans out there. The gameplay is fun and controls work perfectly, allowing you to get in the zone as you enjoy the dozens of available songs for the game. A little bit of practice goes a long way for this one, as you start to work your way up the difficulty list until you can master all songs in 6K Mode.

Barebones in organisation and structure but absolutely joyous in its presentation, Musynx is pure rhythm game fun. The rough edges stand out mostly because the game can otherwise become an engrossing way to evaporate free time. Mileage may vary based on your ability to enjoy the game’s music, but with its highly customizable difficulty and excellent representation of the tracks as note patterns, this game will welcome in anyone who can find themselves lost in the music.

If all you're looking for is a pure rhythm game to take on the go, Musynx fits the bill nicely. It's a pure arcade experience without any visual trappings and without the need to spend a few quarters every time you want to play another round of songs. Pros - 90+ songs available at launch across a wide range of genres - All future DLC tracks free of charge - No energy/fail state, so you're free to practice on harder tracks without fear of failing early on Cons - Presentation and menus nigh non-existent - Some Vocaloid tracks are unpalatable - No sorting/song curation available yet (Devs have promised this to come in a future patch) - Lack of key sounds or audio response if you miss a note The links above are affiliate links.
