I rarely, if ever, play any kind of racing games nowadays and while one might not consider this a racing game, it still definitely fills that niche for some gamers. That being said, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders was a lot of fun! It strikes a nice balance between those looking to break some time records on a trail and those looking to unwind and take a trip down some beautiful mountainsides. My hope is that Megagon Industries continues to invest in this game and develop more facets that keep future players hitting the slopes as time goes by! The developers at Megagon Industries have done a great job on building on their first game by adding a bunch of excellent new ideas, a fun multiplayer suite and what feels like a great, fresh take on skiing with the tight, responsive controls they’re known for. It’s addictive, thrilling stuff and I can’t wait to hit the slopes as soon as I’ve finished writing this. It’s available on Xbox Game Pass and Steam, and I hope you try it out.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders is the quintessential winter escape, the tight controls paired with breath-taking vistas are this game’s bread and butter. While progression can feel slow, playing the game is anything but. I am looking forward to what more will be coming to the game in terms of updates, but for what’s here at launch, is a careful balance of challenging but fair slopes. Simply put, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders is gnar, top to bottom.

I really enjoyed Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders‘ core premise, and I honestly think this game has a lot of potential… as long as it is able to maintain its servers filled up for the foreseeable future. It’s a really fun racing game, set in a unique locale for today’s standards, but considering its paultry amount of content and dangerously barren single player campaign, it will live or die based on its multiplayer population.
