Stikbold! is a single and local multiplayer dodgeball game heavily inspired by the 70's and its athletes. This is a salute to the heroic sportsmanship of the era, a time when tacky was cool and there was no such thing as bad style. Follow the story of world famous Stikbold athletes Björn and Jerome, team up with a dodgeball buddy in co-op team battles or charge head first into a manic free-for-all battles with up to five others. Get beaten in the area? Get revenge from the outside with disgruntled swans, hungry whales and one very lethal minivan.

Indie games have come a long way, but it's still obvious they are viewed as the lesser option when it comes to gaming for a lot of gamers. It would be a mistake to overlook Stikbold! because it's an indie game. It has its share of hiccups and can falter from time to time, but gamers don't play games for the amazing loading screens. They play them for the game, and once the game is loaded, it is a charming, easy-to-control experience that ensures hours of enjoyability, with or without a partner. Don't overlook this tiny gem because it has these faults; instead, push past them to a solid game that is genuine and truly fun.

Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure is an enjoyable and competitive local multiplayer game to play with your friends. I didn't expect to enjoy playing through a story mode about dodgeball as much as I did. It can also be played cooperatively with a friend as well. I’m still working on completing all the objectives from the story mode to unlock the final character, but there are plenty of unlikely goofy characters to choose from for local multiplayer.Note: Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure was reviewed on PlayStation 4.
