MONSTER
After a journey at sea, you are shipwrecked on a tiny island. Using your wit, ingenuity and the advice of your new buddy, Carl the Crab, you’ve gotta find a way to keep yourself from starving and survive. Craft tools, fend off creatures, try to signal an airplane… or you could just give up and die? Maybe, just enjoy the sunset while you can. Almost makes you forget that you're in a desperate struggle against your own mortality.

I was pleasantly surprised with how addicted I was to Island Time, as each death was a personal challenge to do better and last longer. It’s one of those games I keep thinking about when not playing, drawing mental ideas and strategies for item management and tactical seagull intercepts. Though it doesn’t offer the comforts and stress-free environment of my real world island adventures, Island Time still manages to be a whole lot of fun. The price agrees with the limited scope, but I would have loved to see each attempt at survival find a more varied tack. Island Time VR is a fun little vacation for a short time, but I wouldn’t want to take up permanent residence. Island Time VR review code provided by the publisher.

It’s not a bad game… once you get the gist of it, but I would certainly say wait for a sale to get it if you’re interested because I couldn’t justify the current price given the play time and scope.
