The game in a whole is great for any seasoned VR gamer and new VR gamers as well. I gave my wife a spin at the game and even though she doesn’t game much, she had a blast with it. The creators really did a good job in the creation of this game and even though I am not up to date with everything involving Doctor Who, I think it is a good tribute to the growing audience the series has.

Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time is a solid virtual reality adventure offering that probably could have stood a bit more content, slightly faster movement options and maybe a few more chances taken along the way. All of those things being said, fans of the series should find a whole lot to like about the performances and presentation, and even those who have not followed the exploits of the Doctor will probably enjoy the adventure as well.

Who is at its best when there’s a hook; a gimmick so playful and innovative that anyone can get carried away in the madness that ensues. Instead of testing those waters, The Edge of Time settles for bringing the series’ most tried and true elements directly into headsets in hopes of winning over dedicated fans. It plays more like a rejected episode of the TV series rather than something that fully embraces its platform. The Who faithful be satisfied in that safety, I suspect, but I personally can’t help but wish this was a little more dangerous. Final Score: 3/5 Stars | Just Okay Note: We are changing our review scheme to a five-point scale, without half points, rather than a 10-point scale with half points like before.

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time offers a gripping atmosphere and a great performance from Jodie Whittaker but besides that, it falls flat.Doctor Who: The Edge of Time gameplay video → Reborn: A Samurai Awakens Review PlayStation 4 ★☆☆☆☆ You wouldn't expect a game with samurai in its title to play like Star Wars yet here's the very strange Reborn: A Samurai Awakens. Reborn: A Samurai Awakens certainly looks like a cool game as wielding lightsabers and being able to "use the force" in order to lift up enemies and throw them seems pretty awesome on paper.

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time has some fun ideas and offers fans a great opportunity to go on a time-hopping adventure with the greatest alien hero television has ever seen. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite feel ready for prime time nor is it optimized well enough on the PlayStation 4. It bugs me that Maze Theory spent the time to construct elaborate areas but didn’t bother to render the player character’s hands so that they don’t look like something out of The Lawnmower Man.
