Unbound is an atmospheric 2D Puzzle-Platformer where the main character, Soli, can conjure magic portals to travel between different realities in order to learn more about the catastrophe that ravaged his world. Inside certain portals, the physical properties of the character or world elements can change, offering new gameplay possibilities. Unbound’s artistic approach can be summarized as a dark fairy tale presented in a cartoonish style, with the purpose to give the game experience a fresh look and feel. Curiosity and exploration will have an impact on the overall atmosphere and will immerse the player even more.

Unbound: Worlds Apart left me pleasantly surprised, featuring some of the most gloriously designed gameplay mechanics I’ve ever experienced in a game. It will hook you in with its finely balanced challenge and dares you to come back for more. A masterclass in level design and gameplay mechanics, this is certainly one indie gem that should definitely be on your radar.

With just two people in the core team, and a total of five when you factor in people behind the video production, music and background melody for the sales pitch, Alien Pixel Studios created a game that is an absolute joy to go through. With exceptional gameplay design and no visible weaknesses, Unbound: Worlds Apart is a breathtaking indie you shouldn't miss out on.
