I, in short, have no real issues with She’s Leaving, and like it a decent bit. There aren’t much in the way of faults; the game is something the devs clearly cared for, having been working on it from before the pandemic started and the basic premise of the game, as someone that originally went to college to get a degree in criminal psychology before a lack of self-confidence led to my turning to a slightly more generalized psychology degree, is one that’s interesting to me on a personal level, which is how it caught my attention to begin with, as is its location as someone with a fascination with that general area of the world. It’s a wholly worthy addition to the genre, and do suggest it if the genre is one you’re fond of or if you like it’s inspirations.

She’s Leaving is a compact but engaging first-person horror game that blends forensic investigation with tense, stalker-driven survival gameplay. Its atmosphere, smart pacing, and surprisingly polished design make the experience stand out, even when technical hiccups and a few dated mechanics hold it back. For its low price and strong debut showing from a tiny team, it’s an easy recommendation for horror fans looking for a short, satisfying scare. 3.6 He's Coming The calm snow outside belies just how twisted your investigation will become! She’s Leaving arrives on PS5 as the debut project from the two-person team at Blue Hat Studios, published by both the studio itself and Perp Games, launching first on PC on December 2nd of 2025 and then consoles on December 9th.

She’s Leaving isn’t a perfect game; there are some problems with the implementation of the stalking mechanics and some minor pacing issues in the storytelling. But the atmosphere and the general design of the game are top drawer. I genuinely liked exploring this world and trying to discover the secrets it holds over its short but sweet 2 to 3-hour running time.

She’s Leaving is a unique horror game with a strong premise, interesting narrative, atmospheric setting, and unique mechanics. However, said unique mechanics sort of lose their magic when you run into their limitations, something that can also be said about the game’s horror. While it feels like it could have been better with just a little more effort, She’s Leaving is still worth checking out for its story and setting alike. Try Hard Guides was provided a Steam code for this PC review of She’s Leaving.
