I, in short, have no real issues with She’s Leaving, and like it a decent bit. There aren’t much in the way of faults; the game is something the devs clearly cared for, having been working on it from before the pandemic started and the basic premise of the game, as someone that originally went to college to get a degree in criminal psychology before a lack of self-confidence led to my turning to a slightly more generalized psychology degree, is one that’s interesting to me on a personal level, which is how it caught my attention to begin with, as is its location as someone with a fascination with that general area of the world. It’s a wholly worthy addition to the genre, and do suggest it if the genre is one you’re fond of or if you like it’s inspirations.

She’s Leaving is a unique horror game with a strong premise, interesting narrative, atmospheric setting, and unique mechanics. However, said unique mechanics sort of lose their magic when you run into their limitations, something that can also be said about the game’s horror. While it feels like it could have been better with just a little more effort, She’s Leaving is still worth checking out for its story and setting alike. Try Hard Guides was provided a Steam code for this PC review of She’s Leaving.

She’s Leaving has a great and unique concept with a solid story, which may be enough for players looking for their next survival-horror fix. However, you shouldn’t go into it hoping for amazing gameplay, since it’s pretty barebones across the board. While engaging with real-life practices of forensics is intriguing, especially if you’re into true crime, everything else revolves around cookie-cutter mechanics to an exhausting extent. The majority of a playthrough consists of finding and using keys, unlocking safes, and running away from a stalker that becomes less scary and more of a nuisance the longer you play. While She’s Leaving isn’t the best option out there for survival-horror enthusiasts, it has enough good stuff, such as interesting forensic mechanics, story, and voice acting, that make it worthwhile for a quick playthrough over a weekend. It’s also important to consider its low price of only $16.99.

If more work were put into making She's Leaving's gameplay fleshed out, it would be an excellent and unique horror game for sure. She's Leaving gameplay video →All Hands on Deck Review Switch ★★★☆☆ If co-op puzzle platformers are more your speed then All Hands on Deck is a delightful game that can be quite fun to play with a friend. All Hands on Deck is a cooperative indie where you and a friend control a couple of hands who need to help each other in order to forge ahead.

Sadly, She’s Leaving‘s trite plot, absence of compelling characters, and lacklustre gameplay elements mar it, leaving very little to actually recommend. It is a short, play-it-and-forget kind of game, so much so that by the end of my playthrough, I felt nothing towards it but the indifference of knowing I could have spent my time doing anything else. It is a completely mediocre experience, but one that Blue Hat Studio can, and should, learn from.
