Overview

RAZED is a lightning-fast, single-player platform racing game that's all about speedrunning. Sprint through dynamic neon levels in the quickest time possible, employing skills such as super-speed bursts, mega-jumps, drifts, stomps and strafes to bypass obstacles and uncover shortcuts to propel yourself up the online leaderboards. But there's a catch: powers cost momentum, and if your energy falls too low your shoes (and you) could very well explode...

Graphically, Razed is very pretty with modern cartoon-like looks, with a bright and vibrant vide and a really good level of polish. Razed is very decently priced as well, so if you’re skilled in the arts of speed, running, and plaforming, then you should definitely give Razed a go.

Despite the frustration, Razed succeeds in making you want to come back for more. As you progress through worlds and pick up more abilities, you can go back and replay earlier levels to beat your previous times. This provides a welcome break from some of the frustration of progressing through later levels and clearly adds a lot of replay value to the game overall, especially when you can tackle earlier levels with your hard-earned, new abilities. This may indeed be somewhat of a cliché, but this game is the definition of easy to pick up, yet very hard to master. Despite its unforgiving steep difficulty curve, Razed is a fun, vibrant, and engaging speedrunner. The pace of the game is sensational, and its constant introduction of new and interesting mechanics ensures that repetition is kept at bay, throughout. This game was tested and reviewed on Xbox One.

It's Speed meets Temple Run, with a heavy Tron filter over everything. It's a fun little runner that has plenty of replayability, thanks to the competitive aspects of the racing, the alternate routes through the stages, and the hidden items to track. However, Razed is quite niche - there's a considerable challenge here and the frustration may be too much for some to handle.
