Luminawesome Games Ltd have clearly spent a great deal of time and effort to create something truly beautiful and unique. While £15.99 does seem a little on the steep side for a small puzzle platformer, you really have to take into consideration what you’re getting for your money.

I absolutely loved playing Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles. It may not be for everyone but those who enjoy it will enjoy it a lot.Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles gameplay video → RESEARCH and DESTROY Review Xbox Series X ★★★☆☆ If a blend of turn-based strategy and real-time shooting sounds appealing to you then here's the very clever RESEARCH and DESTROY. First, let me say that RESEARCH and DESTROY can be played cooperatively but I'm reviewing the single player experience as this is a round-up of single player challenges after all.

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is a breath of fresh air in the modern gaming world as it provides a unique sense of joy. I came out of my playing sessions feeling relaxed but also fulfilled, not wanting for additional challenge and completely stress-free.

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is a challenging and beautiful 3D puzzle platformer but one whose design could frustrate some players out there. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the game and for the most part didn’t struggle too much with solving the puzzles. For others though, I can see how they could get stuck with not really knowing where to go or what to do and that is worth considering before making your purchase. *Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
