MONSTER
"LIGHTFIELD is a hyper futuristic racing game with a parkour twist. Drive on any surface including walls, tunnels and sci-fi architecture to piece together the fastest racing line. Only by mastering your anti-gravity spaceship and finding the best omnidirectional route can you race to the top. Play on your own, online, or with up to three friends on your sofa in split screen and perfect your racing line. Explore the worlds beyond the track boundaries and lose yourself in the aesthetics of the colorful environments, abstract level architecture and electronic music by Viennese musician Zanshin."

Highly polished and with beautiful presentation, this futuristic parkour-inspired game is a true unique take on the genre – not something that can be said often. If you like Wipeout, you will definitely enjoy this.

Although racing is not my thing, I definitely recommend the game. Despite the high speed, gameplay is easy to get the hang of, and you can tell the developers put a lot of hard work into the environments and the controls so that everything feels just right. Lightfield is a fun racing+parkour game, and I look forward to seeing what the team does next.

Lightfield is a solid futuristic racer that definitely has some cool aspects to it. Lots of color, electronic music, and solid racing will pull you in for a time but the experience lacks depth and, for a $19.99US price tag, the variety could be greater. If you are really a fan of the genre, give Lightfield a try, but otherwise, stick to classics like WipeOut HD.
