Life Goes On: Done to Death is a fun puzzle title that will tax you, and let you blow off steam by murdering hundreds (thousands) of knights. Life Goes On: Done to Death (Reviewed on Windows) Excellent.

Life Goes On: Done to Death came as a pleasant surprise to me. It’s a genuinely funny and unique puzzle game that left me thoroughly entertained from start to finish and all throughout the credits. I simply can’t recommend this enough. A copy of this game was provided by the publisher for review purposes.

The game has a unique puzzle mechanic and a good sense of humor. It would have been nice if the game let you pan around a level on your own before tackling it so that you can do a little preplanning before tackling a level.

Life Goes On isn’t the longest puzzler with just three worlds with around a dozen maps in each, but its unique worldview and mechanics ensure that it stands above the crowd. Whenever the sheer volume of death threatened to bring me down, the developers were always ready with another ingeniously clever puzzle to pull me back in.

There’s a comfortable progression of difficulty, with the game’s initial stages easy enough to understand and later stages that require a good deal of thought, planning and timing. And there’s nothing more satisfying then the inevitable “aha!” moment the comes with figuring out a particularly complicated stage.

If you're violently allergic to puzzle games, Life Goes On won't miraculously cure you. But as long as you're open to the idea of having your mind engaged more than your trigger finger, this melon-twister's wicked personality alone might be enough to pull you into its death grip.
