Overview

Jenny LeClue is a story focused exploration adventure game with memorable characters, a unique aesthetic, and an epic tangled mystery. Jenny is a brilliant young detective, but nothing exciting happens in her small town of Arthurton, and she longs for real adventure. She gets more than she bargains for, when her mother is accused of murder. Jenny takes on the case of a lifetime and begins an unexpected, dangerous journey to uncover the truth. It’s also a coming-of-age meta-narrative about the blurred lines between right and wrong.

If you’re looking to take a chance on a good adventure indie, with an entertaining story, Jenny LeClue offers a generously sized campaign full of twists and turns and clever gameplay hooks that you’ll really struggle to put down. I just hope this isn’t the last we see of this intrepid investigator. Fortunately, if the end of the game is anything to go by, it certainly seems like I’ll get my wish.

A consistently intriguing story, varied yet approachable gameplay, and surprisingly nuanced characters set this detective story apart from the pack. Our story opens with a harried author, Arthur K.

Worth Playing

Mar 18, 2020

As the first part of a series, Jenny LeClue: Detectivu makes a great initial impression. The actual detective work strikes a balance between thought-provoking and easy to figure out. The presentation is wonderful, even if the audio could have fared better. It is the story that keeps you hooked with a flawed but likeable main character and a layered, supporting cast. It culminates in a story where the lack of a proper ending is the only thing that sours the experience. Provided that the team can release the second game in a timely manner, this'll be a memorable experience for adventure fans.
