GOODBYE WORLD provides a great tale, albeit one without too much room to grow. Those who don’t mind a brief story will enjoy this tale of game development, but it needed more time to really flesh out this pair of fledgling designers. It might seem like fun and games, but YO FUJII, Flyhigh Works, and IndieArk expose players to the real world of game development with their new title GOODBYE WORLD.

An unusual mix of a non-interactive story pondering the perils of game development and a decent puzzler When I saw the footage of Goodbye World on the last Indie Direct I was intrigued to see how it would turn out, and somewhat puzzled by its way of alternating between playing a puzzle game in an old-school GameBoy-type style and a story of people trying to make a game together who’ve hit obstacles.
