Fieldrunners 2 makes no real attempts to redefine the tower defense genre, but it delivers a supremely refined modification of the formula that first made the first game so popular four years ago. The PC version is a little on the pricey side, but few tower defense games make such long strides toward appealing to both casual and hardcore gameplay.
