Aftercharge is a solid competitive multiplayer game that brings balance and a unique premise. I do wonder how engaged folks will be with a singular multiplayer mode, as I've gotten somewhat tired of it after fifty plus matches.

Aftercharge isn’t starting out perfect, but thankfully we live in an age where patches and updates continue to shape an experience well after launch. All that’s needed to grow is an interesting and polished foundation to start with and Aftercharge certainly has that with a lot of charm to boot. This review is based on a PC code provided by the game’s publisher.

But Why Tho?

Aftercharge is unique, charming, and an original sort of experience I’ve come to expect as the best aspects of the wonderful indie game scene we continue to see growing in gaming.

Aftercharge’s unique concept makes it worth checking out. The 3-v-3 setup manages to pack a lot of fun in small doses while also keeping the scales balanced on both sides. Aftercharge forces players to use their heads over their trigger finger and it’s here where the game really begins to shine. It’s a shame then that there just isn’t enough content here to keep players coming back. Aftercharge looks, sounds, and plays the part but as of right now, it could do with a bit more meat on its bones.
