I enjoyed this new adventure in the frozen land of Colorado. The challenging combat, choice-driven narrative, and fun humor are hitting on all cylinders in Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown. If you enjoyed the gameplay of the original release, I can easily recommend checking this out. Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown - Rating - 8.5/108.5/10 TL;DR When all is said and done, I enjoyed this new adventure in the frozen land of Colorado.

Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown DLC is a very nice complement to the main game. The story contained in the expansion pack is of the same caliber as what's in the main campaign, but it also does a great job of slotting itself into the campaign without feeling like a huge diversion. The environment is fresh, and the enemies are enjoyable to fight, especially those on mechs, but the gameplay mechanics introduced here and in the previous patches give Wasteland 3 veterans enough of a reason to return and try another run. It's good enough that we want to see what the next expansion looks like.

With a new engaging story nicely integrated with the main campaign, excellent writing, and new combat mechanics, Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown is a more than worthy purchase for all those who have loved the game. The new campaign's high challenge level and relatively short length of the main quest may put some off, but, everything considered, The Battle of Steeltown is the perfect continuation of an already excellent experience. Pros - Engaging story with several different outcomes - Wacky characters and humorous writing - Great integration with the main campaign - New gameplay additions and mechanics Cons - Battles may be too challenging for players who haven't mastered the combat mechanics - The main quest is not that long The links above are affiliate links.

For die-hard Wasteland 3 fans, this expansion offers a compelling reason to return, but at a price that’s a little bit proud. For more casual players, or those who have yet to dive into Colorado, you may be well advised to wait for the inevitable complete edition that will probably release next year.
