Bikers and those who know the heritage of the Isle of Man TT will get a real kick out of this game. It goes out of its way to put this seminal race on the pedestal it deserves and backs all of that up by building a mightily impressive racing game around it. It’s not perfect – I’d have liked to see some other models like sidecar races included – but what is here is very, very impressive indeed. In a year when the IoMTT won’t be running, this might be the perfect way to scratch the itch. TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is launching on the PS4, Xbox One (review platform) and PC on March 19th, 2020. Despite some niggles, TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 is easily the best feeling racer I’ve played in quite some time. The sheer sense of speed and place in the thick of hurtling along the track is almost overwhelming. Some more shorter races would have been nice, and it’s all too easy to fall to the back after a single mistake, but put a bit of time into grasping the delicacies of the handling and you’ll find an incredibly satisfying racer.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 provides not only a unique riding experience for players, but is also a helpful tool. Racers are using the game to prepare for a real race and the changes to the physics system nearly replicate a real riding experience. It’s amazing to get lost in the immersion of riding and cornering in these beautiful locations in Ireland and the UK, not to mention the actual Isle of Man itself. The visuals do have some way to go, but the overall feeling that comes from riding and the sound of the bikes more than make up for that. The game also only retails for $40 and I recommend that anyone who actually rides these types of bikes give TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 a go.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is a game for racing genre fans who enjoy more realistic gameplay. The game is easy enough to pick up and play, but it's far more difficult - though rewarding - to become a skilled racer. Although online multiplayer falls a bit flat due to the current player base, the game’s Career mode certainly makes up for it and is well-worth your time. TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is fast, fun, and the best racing title so far in 2020. A PlayStation 4 copy of TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 was provided to TheGamer for this review.
