Toy Soldiers HD
Toy Soldiers HD is an action-packed strategy-based game in which you command antique WWI toy soldiers vying for control of the trench-filled battlefields of Europe. The remaster includes improved single and multiplayer gameplay, never-before played content, enhanced high-definition graphics and camera and sound. All previously released downloadable content will be included in the campaign flow. The original classic has been overhauled and upgraded with new content, skins, gameplay, expanded game modes, improved controls and graphical upgrades, as well as all the original DLC and a few new levels as well!

Considering the visuals, gameplay, replayability, and online options, Toy Soldiers HD is very well done and fun to play. Figuring out how to best use your units is almost as much fun as enacting a campaign in your childhood sandbox.

Toy Soldiers is an excellent game and even though this HD iteration isn't a huge improvement over the original, it's still sure to provide hours upon hours of tower defense fun for fans of the genre. Plus, its multiplayer modes can be a genuine blast.

Toy Soldiers HD is a fantastic tower defense game that fans of the genre should definitely play. It's easy to learn, hard to master, and there's a ton of replayability with the lengthy campaign, the extra levels, collectibles, achievements, and survival modes, which I've spent a lot of time playing. The controls for vehicles can be a bit stiff and the lack of co-op multiplayer is a big disappointment, but given how few decent tower-defense games there are on console, it's easy to overlook the very few shortcomings Toy Soldiers HD brings to the table. Now, when are we getting Toy Soldiers Cold War?

This strategy / action hybrid has gotten only a mild facelift but its unique and approachable play remains intact While I never got to partake in the Toy Soldiers experience back on XBox Live it’s one of those titles I often heard people raving about.

It’s not a game changer by any means, but it’s a great way to reintroduce the franchise to a younger audience, as well as provide the best the series has ever looked and played to old-time fans. What a way to make WWI look borderline adorable.

Toy Soldiers HD is a solid all-around package, though that $30 price point does feel a bit high. If you’re in the market though for some well-made hybrid tower defense, shooter, dogfighter then this plastic battleground should fit the bill. It might be ugly as sin at times, but it is a damned good time reliving an incredibly weird take on one of the darkest conflicts in modern history

Toy Soldiers HD is the great return of a classic, it holds up well with just the visuals being a bit of a drawback. You get a healthy chunk of gameplay to enjoy and it’s just as wild as it’s always been.

Otherwise, Toy Soldiers HD is probably how you remember it. There are some noticeable changes, but nothing revitalizing. Unlike Toy Soldiers Complete’s tendency to just shoehorn new mechanics into the old game where they didn’t necessarily fit, Toy Soldiers HD feels true to the original experience. It’s a bizarrely lighthearted take on a nightmarish war, but not one that feels like it wholesale throws away the history. More could have probably been done with the remaster.
