The direction The Exorcist Legion VR takes virtual reality horror in is one I’d love to see more of in future. This very much feels like the nucleus for something more elaborate as the hardware grows and adapts. It doesn’t do anything revolutionary, but it does understand what can be done with VR horror so much better than most. It doesn’t outstay its welcome and rarely resorts to cheap tricks to unnerve and unsettle you. The Exorcist Legion VR PSVR Review code provided by the publisher. The Exorcist Legion VR is available now on PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift/ ‘Aliens: Dark Descent’ Review – Brutal Tactics and Nail-Biting Experience Captures the Essence of ‘Aliens’ I’m of the mindset that there has never been an excellent modern video game based on the Alien franchise.

The Exorcist: Legion VR is without a doubt one of the best VR horror experiences available. The slow-building tension is expertly paced, each and every scare feels visceral and dangerous, and the sheer sense of terror you feel while methodically exploring the richly detailed environments is staggering. It honestly felt like I could hear the voices inside my own head and I could feel the heat from my crucifix as I stared down the faces of demon and eradicated the evil within. The Exorcist: Legion VR will turn even the most hardened horror fans into whimpering piles of fear. The Exorcist: Legion VR is an episodic experience split into five chapters.

While the game is most effective the first time through, repeated visits to its brief vignettes reveal just how meticulously this spook-house was built. Don't bother with the individual episodes, just go for the whole game. You will immediately want to buy more episodes after playing the first one, so you might as well save some money by buying the package. And don't forget to play with the lights on, for all the good it will do you. * The product in this article was sent to us by the developer/company. Howdy.

It’s not the longest experience but it’s also not that pricey sitting at about $5.00 at the time of writing (well a little less but that’s because of a Steam discount). Steam tells me I only spent about 35mins in the game… there may well be some other things you can do, but to get from start to finish it can be done in around 35mins… so let that factor into your purchase decision. I would imagine once all the chapters have been released there will be a bundle that can be purchased to have everything accessible and this would likely be the best option. I will say though that the atmosphere and overall feel of the experience was great, for someone who doesn’t normally “do” horror games, there was enough story and meaning to what was going on to make me willing to go back sometime… maybe not for a little while, it is still very creepy and I don’t feel like being creeped out right now thank you very much! Higher end creepiness has certainly found it’s way to the VR world.

While the adventure may be incredibly short, it is one that groups may enjoy, to see how others react to the horrors that await within. However, much like a scary movie or haunted house, once you know where the scares are located, they don’t have the same oomph as the first time through. With variability all but removed, the replayability of Legion VR dwindles rapidly.
