Though boldly combining classical point-and-click adventure elements with some beat-em-up action it struggles a bit I like to play indie games that have some ambition to them, and one great way to swing for the fences is to combine multiple genres that traditionally haven’t either played well together or even at all.

Scrap Riders is an interesting game, with fantastic visuals and sound design and a unique take on the beat-em-up genre. However it isn’t without its flaws, and the lack of confidence in its own identity really weighs down the experience. Hopefully Games For Tutti learns from the experience, because I would definitely like to see an improved sequel. Our Scrap Riders review was written based on the PC version of the game.

Scrap Riders is a compelling little title that’s a little rough around the edges, and I had a blast playing it. You should definitely check it out if you’re interested in beat ‘em ups, point ‘n clicks, or both.
