While not a bad game, it doesn’t actually stand out even with the ridiculous premise. The multiplayer is where the game works well and even then, players may find themselves done with the game before the actual ending.

Reagan Gorbachev undeniably has character, and really runs with its absurd premise, delivering a decent arcadey Hotline Miami-like. But while it delivers thrilling moments, it disappoints in a few key areas, presenting a game with a bland aesthetic and relatively shallow gameplay. It offers some enjoyment in the form of its tongue-in-cheek story, but if you’re looking for more depth than score chasing, you may not find it here.

Surprisingly dull considering the premise, Reagan Gorbachev is a cheap and frustrating adventure that is only worth tackling if you have a friend along for the ride.

While the game can be exciting and fun, with the occasional awesome level, it spends most of its time being frustrating and cheap. It handles and controls fine, the graphics are acceptable but not outstanding, and the tone is all over the place.
