MONSTER
Ray Gigant is a Japanese dungeon-crawling role-playing game. The stage of Ray Gigant is set in June of year 20xx, where the world has been destroyed by a giant creature known as the "gigant" that suddenly appeared on the planet. In battle, your party is made of three members. Unlike other dungeon-crawlers by Experience, the perspective in combat will show the backside of the characters.

The monsters all look fantastic, and the artwork by Fuji Mogeo is probably the best I’ve seen in a game outside of Vanillaware. I’ve already ordered copies of Demon Gaze and Stranger of Sword City thanks to Ray Gigant giving me an itch, which I’ve yet to scratch. Ray Gigant was reviewed on PS Vita using a digital copy provided by Acttil.

Ray Gigant is a flawless game with a great look and awesome animations. I have enjoyed playing the game for this Ray Gigant review, and I also look forward to the studio’s next creation because Ray Gigant definitely shows us once again that Experience Inc. is an expert of the dungeon crawler genre!

Ray Gigant is easily my favourite Experience Inc title and quite possibly my favourite dungeon-crawler RPG so far, a huge thank you to Acttil for bringing it to the west. Ray Gigant managed to excel in so many areas from plot, gameplay, visuals and sound which I find is a rare thing these days. If you’re a fan of dungeon-crawling RPG or just looking for a new title to try out on the Vita then Ray Gigant needs to be high on your list.

I take all my hats off to Experience Inc. for what it has done with Ray Gigant. This is a breathlessly creative and fundamentally interesting game, and it, along with Stranger of Sword City, cements the developer as one of my favourites out there at the moment.
