Out of the Park Baseball 14

OOTP is a curiosity that reveals itself to be an addicting chess match, jostling for position against the 30 other teams while proving your worth as owner of the team. Interest in this game is almost entirely dictated by your interest in baseball, management simulations and strategy games. If those are two elements you can get behind along with the lack of on field action, then OOTP is definitely worth a shot.

No frills, no gimmicks, no nonsense, Out of the Park Baseball 14 is such a true-to-form sports experience that its complicated gameplay and plain-jane delivery becomes refreshing and exciting in a world of big graphical spectacles. While OOTP will never take the place of games like The Show and MLB 2k, it can supplement those gaming experiences and provide a different take on what the baseball world is all about. Playing this game will make you beg to the heavens for a basketball or football simulation with the same attention to detail and authenticity provided in OOTP.

OOTP 14 doesn't feature huge changes from last year's model. At this point, I don't expect much more than roster updates and under-the-hood stats tweaking.

OOTP 14 is a complicated, in-depth simulator geared towards the hardcore gamers of fantasy leagues.
