Overview

A Japanese exclusive released in 2002 for GameCube. The game could be connected to the Game Boy Advance game Mr. Driller Ace, another Japanese exclusive, to transfer pets to the GameCube and unlock power-ups for purchase. A remastered version of the game was released worldwide in 2020 on Nintendo Switch and PC. Mr. Driller: Drill Land is a sequel to Mr. Driller. The basic goal is like the original - players must dig through from top to bottom, aiming to reach the goal depth in meters. As they dig, they gradually lose air, so they must also collect air capsules to replenish their air and prevent losing a life.

Ultimately, it’s a shame it took 18 years before Mr. Driller Drill Land made it to America. We’ve missed out on an absolute marvel of an arcade puzzle game that is jam-packed with personality and gameplay variety. I highly recommend you don’t let the opportunity to play this game pass you by. Who knows when the next time is we’ll see Mr. Driller and his friends come back.

It was a joy to revisit the world of Mr. Driller again, and the Switch is one of the best places to do it given the pint-sized level-by-level format. Don’t let the price scare you: puzzle fans will get a lot of play out of Drill Land. [These impressions are based on a retail build of the game provided by the publisher.

Mr. Driller: DrillLand is an excellent game for puzzle fans of all types. Longtime series fans will find that this is the pinnacle of the series, with almost endless replayability due to formula variations and online leaderboards. New fans will find this to be the perfect entry point given the variety and available difficulty settings. Unless you absolutely dislike puzzle titles, DrillLand is worth a spin. Score: 8.5/10 More articles about Mr.

Mr. Driller Drill Land is the best game in the series and one of my favourite Switch games in recent memory. If you enjoy action-packed arcade fun with plenty of cheerful humour, you'll thoroughly dig this. - + Awesome classic Mr.
